That's the question I was asked as I came into the office today. I think something has gotten over the riders, as they all sing just like old women. Apparently they were trying Anna from some movie called 'Frozen'. I decide right there to get rid of Grega. He was definitely the spark behind this awful singing.
Since his departure, I have had some peace and quite for once (finally). So I hit the scout list with only about $37,000. I had two scouts up my sleeve, otherwise I wouldn't be signing a rider today.
The first result came back, and for a rider worth $33,000, the small potentials just weren't worth it. Looking down the list, I settled to scout the 23yo Polish rider, Bart?omiej Napiera?a. His hire price came in at just over the affordable amount of $29,000, and with age still on his side.
The results were:
CL: None
DH: Average
HL: Average
SP: Small
FR: Small
CB: Small
TT: Good
TQ: Small
With that in mind, I hire him. It may not be the best rider, but for $29,000, and a limited budget from the old nannies, he will certainly go a ways to getting our team back on track. Now that we have two young riders with potential in both time trials and downhills, it seams that I'll be making a time trialing team, with a swing towards the hills.
Maybe Grega's annoying singing was worth the pain after all.
